Propylene glycol, derived from petroleum or natural gas, is used in many foods and drinks (e.g. Fireball in the US, but now EU). Is it the alcohol (not arguing it's healthy per se) or the toxic substances that have been added to its mass production? @stoolpresidente

He is Arjun Sankaran, a cancer surgeon (MBBS, MS) at Srikara Hospital, Miyapur who is advising people to drink one to two alcoholic drinks "safely". Doctors (of all people) need to embrace evidence and scientific rationale for the public. There is no safe level of alcohol. Even the lowest level of consumption can increase risk of 7 types of cancer. Is this Srikara Hospital's way of increasing business? It's pathetic when doctors do this to public health. Shameless. Three weeks ago, I made a video and started a petition asking the government to make cancer warning labels mandatory on alcohol bottles. 16000+ signed my petition to make cancer warning labels mandatory! In fact, a 24-year-old named Yash Chilwar filed a PIL after seeing the video, and now the Bombay High-Court has taken the matter up. WHO has declared Alcohol as a Class I carcinogen. So it does not make sense that cigarettes have cancer warning labels, but alcohol doesn’t! I understand that the alcohol lobby will try their best to avoid cancer warning labels, but this will be a true test of both the Indian public and the regulatory bodies to not let the alcohol lobbies win! Let us all fight for transparency and the right to make informed choices!
