She’s gone this long as a driver and never noticed the signs on the pumps or didn’t pay attention in driving school to know this. For me this is an urban legend, I know it’s not. But it’s one of those things I’ve heard about, but I’ve never seen any examples of it actually happening. Most cars now have metal handles inside the car to open the door. I think that by opening the door with the metal handle it prevents any static electricity as soon as you exit. It’s one of those out of sight out of mind scenarios that body ever thinks about because the chances of it happening is so low.
