Putting Vaseline onto your dashboard: 1. Collects tons of dust n dirt 2. Once applied, you will have to do it constantly, otherwise it will dry it out and it will crack. 3. Every time it gets hot, it will sweat and whatever touches it will be greasy.

Headlight was clean to begin with... And also if the headlight in on an older car, you need to use Sensodine!😛
