Useful tip for car thieves

Saran wrap around the pedals is DANGEROUS and should NOT be done. Anything that can come unwrapped or tangled in the pedals is a life-threatening issue. DO NOT do this.

Can someone explain to me what’s the point of the saran wrap over the pedals?

It goes without saying but please don’t put any loosely fitting, slippery coverings on your car pedals. Surely this video has to be illegal in some way.
