Do not use toothpaste on your head or tail lights… It puts micro scratches in it and makes the appearance look worse over time.. They actually make a Product specifically turning your head and tail lights back into new condition… WITHOUT scratching it

colgate: contains silicates that act as abrasives to help polish. WD40: acts as a degreaser. Each can help restore the lens, but you need to seal it with a sealant to remove micropits/valleys from clouding it up over time. I’d recommend not combining them and use them separately.
