In the original Sega CD version of Sonic CD, after you beat Metal Sonic in Stardust Speedway, there are 2 ways to end the stage. The obvious one is to let Amy hug you. The other is to walk to the left and wait about 10 seconds after freeing her.

Sonic Origins has lots of little flaws, but most of them aren't the end of the world. Sonic 1, 2 and CD are mostly just fine. Its biggest screw-up by far imo is how they ruined this beauitful scene.

It would be neat if the English dub had Sonic say phrases in other languages like the Japanese dub. Like have him say stuff in Japanese, Spanish, French, etc. actually now that I think about it the JP dub should have Sonic do this as well instead of just saying English phrases.
