An absolutely incredible rescue story! For the first time in history, a wounded Ukrainian soldier has been evacuated from the frontline by an aerial drone. Enemy drones overhead. Mined terrain. No safe way out. Warriors of Ukraine’s 92nd Assault Brigade modified a heavy hexacopter to rescue their comrade. When a ground evacuation was impossible, Ukrainian ingenuity made the impossible possible. Glory to Ukraine’s Defenders!

This story reads like a blockbuster movie script. But this is not a movie, this is real life and real people. Ukrainian soldiers from the 1st Medical Battalion, using a ground robot, evacuated a wounded Defender from a Russian-controlled settlement. The battalion noted that this was achieved on the seventh attempt, as the previous six robotic vehicles were destroyed. The mission lasted six hours, during which the robot covered 64 km, of which 37 km were on a damaged wheel after the vehicle hit an anti-personnel mine on its way to a wounded soldier. While en route to the transfer point, the Russian drone dropped a munition on a vehicle, but the wounded soldier was not injured thanks to the armored capsule. As a result of the operation, dubbed HVER, the soldier, who had remained in enemy-controlled territory for 33 days after being injured, was evacuated and provided with the necessary medical care. 📹: 1st Medical Battalion

Ukraine’s 225th Assault Regiment says its recovery platoon successfully evacuated a T-72 from its position despite a damaged track that had left the tank unable to move normally. The crew and recovery team managed to get the vehicle out safely, and it has already been delivered for repairs. Once restored, the T-72 is expected to return to combat duties. #Ukraine

⛑️Ukraine has now carried out at least three known aerial evacuations of wounded soldiers from the battlefield using heavy drones. In two new cases reported by SkyFall, Ukraine’s 475th Separate Assault Regiment CODE 9.2 evacuated two severely wounded soldiers using StarGate drones. During one mission, the drone flew nearly 60 km round-trip despite Russian GPS jamming, relying on AI-assisted navigation. Vampire heavy drones provided cover. Both soldiers were rescued from the gray zone, approximately 5 km from the Russian border, where ground evacuation was impossible. Together with an earlier aerial CASEVAC using a Gurzuf Defence drone, this brings the number of publicly known cases to three.
