The Island of Dr. Moreau (1977). This H.G. Wells novel is very hard to film well, and Island Of Lost Souls is still the best interpretation, but the '77 version is (I think) very good. Burt Lancaster is a great choice for Dr. Moreau and draws you in well, while Michael York is actually pretty impressive when he lets go. The make-up and prosthetics hold up well enough, though they lack a bit of fear and horror, and the fights between animals and man-beasts are pretty intense.
