I don't have a problem with it, but all I ever hear is that it takes way too long to pay for itself and that's IF it doesn't require repairs over time In other words: Still too expensive and the ROI is a gamble

This is great news for the US's renewable energy industry 🇺🇸⚡️ @ACCIONAEnergia's largest photovoltaic plant globally has begun supplying renewable energy to Texas, the heart of the U.S. oil industry ⤵️

Yeah right.....read that fine print. My sister got stuck with a huge bill when she sold her house. They pushed the solar panels as free and that she would be selling energy back to the power companies. She bit. After installing all the equipment, she sold the house several years later only to find out she now owes the solar company tens of thousands of dollars for all that "free" equipment.

Be careful, most solar companies are ripping people off with the guise of tax credits. Then trying to sell your house with solar is hard, it doesn't increase the value of the home as promised.

Not in the state of Colorado it isnt. You can have HALF a system. You can have solar panels and reduce (even reverse) your bill but you are in fact, not off the grid. You are not allowed to have the battery system.

Are there any solar panels made in America yet, or all Chinese?

It is something you do when you have no brain. There, I fixed it for you. You have to be an idiot to drill holes in your roof to mount glass. You're obviously being paid to promote bullshit.

Bullshit

NOT TRUE. Have you read solar panel contracts? They’re LYING to people. Also, it’s a pain in the ass to get a new roof or to sell your home with solar panels.

The startup cost is wildly out of many people budget

For many people it isn’t. The cumulative issues for the grid are also not inconsequential. Like many other things in life, the right answer is: “it depends“.
