With the launch of Nano Banana Pro, we're also rolling out the ability for Gemini users to check whether an image was generated with or edited by Google AI using SynthID, our digital watermarking technology. Now you can upload any image into the Gemini app and ask "Is this AI-generated?" Gemini then scans the image for the imperceptible SynthID watermarks that are embedded into all Google AI-generated images - including those by Nano Banana Pro! Learn more about Google’s efforts to increase AI transparency:

Google has just done a VERY W thing while Anthropic is acting L :( Gemini users now have an option to remove the visible watermarks from AI-generated images, videos, and songs etc Now you can disable it. While the invisible SynthID watermark is still there. Now as a creator, you can actually Generate media without the need for the ugly watermark And now the irony… Anthropic has just released the news about embedding imperceptible watermarks into the AI-generated texts in the new Claude models. Google: “Let creators remove the visible mark.” Anthropic: “Let’s add the watermark to the text.” Interesting times👀

All Lyria 3 and Lyria 3 Pro outputs are embedded with SynthID, our imperceptible watermark for identifying Google AI-generated content. Simply upload a file and ask Gemini if it was generated using Google AI, and Gemini will check for SynthID.

Google Nano Banana Pro can continue the story from a single image. Create your first frame and then keep iterating by prompting to show what happens next. Here's a quick example using Freepik Spaces.

Google Earth now lets you create AI images using real-world locations. With the new Nano Banana AI feature, you can pick any place in Google Earth, click “Create Image,” and describe what you want to see. The AI can turn that location into a historical scene, a futuristic city or a fantasy world The feature uses Google Earth’s satellite and 3D map data as the base, so the AI-generated images are built from real locations.
