Using Physics to Extinguish a Fire. 🔥 Hydraulic ventilation is done by setting up a hose line on a fog stream and directing it OUT of a window. The air that a fog stream draws in also draws out the smoke and ejects it outside.

This technique is known as indirect attack or indirect method in firefighting. Specifically, when using the reverse pressure of a fire hose to push away oxygen and thereby extinguish the fire, it's often referred to as "indirect application" of water. Here, the water is directed at an area near but not directly at the fire, allowing the steam and the displacement of oxygen to help suppress the flames

Does it draw out the oxygen too and extinguish the fire? Awesome. 🤩
