I've heard the various Marine Corps Bands at least 200 times over my nearly three decade long career. I even had a 12-piece ensemble from the 1st Marine Division Band for my retirement ceremony. It's always a great time when the band shows up!

Can you imagine being a marine in your dress blues and partying with a horn and dancing in New Orleans? JUST WOW 👏🏼

Which parade is this? Not many parades have the krewe Captain and Lieutenants on horseback anymore.

I think they were just walking down Bourbon.

Marines going freelance? Mama's hide your daughters. Dads, protect your sons. New Orleans - batten down the hatches.

Unlike most bands, these guys are tough. They went through the same boot camp the rest of the Marines did.

Great to see them let their hair down... so to speak.

An old high school boyfriend was a Navy Chaplain in NOLA before & during Katrina. He was in The Middle East with my nephews in 2002.

Their Mom went to junior & high school with said Chaplain's aunt. He's retired now from the USN Reserves & a retired firefighter/EMT. He was also a high school band director & a Baptist Preacher when he married my best friend in 10th grade; she's a band director back home.

They perform every year for people who want to see them in person.

Proof the band kids can kick ass! 😂😂
