I was surprised by the poor technical level shown by the US players. The first, third and fourth goals were nearly amateur mistakes. And the problems with the positional game... really, I thought the US team was better. They were overrun by a medium level european team.

MLS has always been minor league and it will always be. They just want you to think it's more than that. In the US we have our Sports NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL. Soccer or Futbol will never be what they tell you it is.
