@OIGUSPS needs to review this abuse of power. Perhaps it's time for @DOGE @DOGECommittee to visit the USPS. Perhaps there needs to be a new Postmaster General. Perhaps the Board needs to be replaced. Perhaps the USPS needs to be broken up into parts operated by low bid contractors. Perhaps @POTUS needs to look at it when he gets time away from saving the world. I'll bet Amazon would do an amazing job delivering mail!

@RepClayHiggins my USPS carrier throw a package on top of my truck in my driveway. When I filed a complaint, the postmaster not sided with the carrier, she threatened me with not delivering package to my house anymore!! This happened a couple weeks ago.

With all due respect, if the USPS delivered mail to that mailbox and the mail blew away and/or got saturated or if a packaged was damaged, the USPS can be accountable. Fight a better fight and repair your mailbox.

They won't deliver the mail to the mailbox without a door, but they will sit a package on the ground in front of your front door when there is other places they could put it that aren't seen from the road!

And quite literally All of Washington D.C ‼️

Clay is in my top 10 for sure. I can say with certainty I have heard of identical stories cause of mailboxes not being perfectly upright… sorry they aren’t pristine, its just a box with paper that goes in it…

I can tell you living way out in the country that it’s torture. They refuse to deliver my boxes because they don’t want to drive up one of my three driveways. It’s so frustrating

yeah...they don't deliver packages anymore either. They give you slip with an excuse why they can't deliver it. (I've actually waiting at the mailbox myself to take the package from them, they didn't even bring it and had a slip ready in their hand for me). Lazy.

Love you but Yes. Bc they cannot be responsible for the mail getting sucked out of your box by the wind or soaked by a storm. The box has to be somewhat secured. Your neighbors don’t want your mail blowing all over and you shouldn’t either.

Trust me Captain—us “country folk” are lucky to get our mail—and I live “in town”.

In NW Virginia, just past Loudon County….USPS won’t deliver to our homes at all. They put a bunch of steel mailboxes up to 3 miles away. What we would give to have a real route with a Mailman. It’s absurd cos it’s barely the “country”. Be grateful you have one sir.

The post office has many delivery policies that make no sense. They will put a letter on your mailbox to tell you they couldn’t deliver your mail because the box was blocked. A USPS letter instead of just sticking your mail in the box. They do this for any obstruction in my area including an Amazon driver who was parked there for two minutes to deliver packages. Lots of stories. Tons. Goal seems to be to avoid doing their job.

I call BS. They have no rule about closing boxes, or they wouldn't leave the lid OPEN on my vertical box every single time they deliver, which they do. It gets wet when it rains / snows. 🤷‍♀️🤣

This is ridiculous.. The mail lady at my old house used to deliver my packages and leave them in the middle of my driveway in the rain (I had a covered front porch)

I'm lucky if I get my mail 2x a week. I use to work for them many years ago and I have never seen such a lazy bunch of idiots as I do now. They stuff large packages in my box to where I damn near have to take a crow bar to get it out. I am rural and I am also lucky if they pick up my out going mail. Its been bad in my area for at least 5 years,

Privatize them brother! Freaking money pit! I bet more than 50% of their delivery handling is junk mail. They should have all of FedEx and UPS’s envelope delivery as they have the routing network and cheaper. But it takes 3 or 4 days to deliver from AR to MS. Highly inefficient for businesses to use.

@USPS worker that I saw a few days ago. Look on the ground, at all the mail he dropped and left on the ground. After he left I counted 87 pieces of mail on the ground.

USPS is a joke. I live on a 4 lane highway in west Texas. My mail carrier has left packages ON THE GROUND next to my mailbox on the side of the highway, I have him on my doorbell cameral pulling up to my house and tossing packages from his vehicle into the yard instead of walking 3 feet to put them on the porch. There have been countless times that a package has had a "delivery exception" because "the customer was unavailable or the driveway was inaccessible". My driveway is NEVER inaccessible. It's infuriating. If someone has to send me something, i tell them to use UPS or FedEx, because they never seem to have a problem delivering to me.
