I think most of the men on board had at least 4 tugs in Pattaya

Thank you @prdthailand for hosting the USS Lincoln. We hope to be back to normal soon.

She looks refreshed. Like when you jump in the shower after getting home from a trip to Walmart.

LCB such a nice port , bring back fun memories

Light the fires and kick the tires! We gettin' this pig underway boys!

No Temu here American Badass

De Thaise schoonmakers hebben goed werk gedaan. Hij ziet er zowaar weer vooral grijs uit.

Tanta tierra del fondo levantada. Poco calado se deja ver.

Now it's been cleaned and polluted anothers ocean; it leaves for America.

It only just arrived! 😳

This is the way.

Emgineering Marvel🤓

A floating airport! What a time to be alive! 👊🏻😎

This is still standing?

Not a lot of water there😬

Weee

Where I live we had moored in the estuary a former Royal Navy paddle tug which had a very extended bow for working close under an aircraft carrier. It had disconnected paddles for manoveurability which lead to its scrapping as unable to be used in a civilian role.

Strong lines.

Amazing factoid: The first nuclear supercarrier, the U.S.S. Enterprise CVA(N)-65, had 8 nuclear reactors. The U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln, and others currently in service including the new class w/ U.S.S. Gerald R. Ford, have two.

This crane operator got the best view, nicely done. I wonder what is the purpose of putting the planes up on the deck? Perhaps their having a clean out below deck. It's amazing all those people on-board find somewhere to sleep. Long live freedom dammit.

big ones too, which is why they were able to do it with just four.

Just?

i remember it as usually 6. and if the winds were wrong, 8 wasnt enough.

ridiculous. I use 3 tugs to bring in a ULCS with twice the displacement

do those ULCS have thrusters? also, remember, i commented that those tugs were pretty large. thats me guessing they are more powerful than the ones i remember.

3 when no thruster available, 2 tugs when thruster is available. 1x86-ton BP tug 2x65 ton or 1x86 and 1x65

windage area around 11000 m2, so force 5 on the side around 55 tonnes-force

I could see 4 as the Nimitz class has issues at slow speed, but more than 4 seems a bit overkill

wow, just massive. Surprised the water is-so clear

Sea and anchor set. Underway, Shift colors. Where was your Sea and Anchor station. I was throttles forward engine room, DD-825.
