🚀 Utilizing industrial espionage, it appears McDonnell Douglas was able to successfully implement reusable rocket designs and data stolen from Elon Musk's SpaceX.

@elonmusk 😂 The potato quality of the video is going to give away the sarcasm for those not in the know already.

@elonmusk Most of all it was a shame they gave up on it, but to be fair, that was not a hoverslam. SpaceX stood on the shoulders of giants, but the consistent F9 booster landings are a true and astounding innovation.

@elonmusk MD engineer: "So if we reuse it, it doesn't cost as much." MD accountant: "We hide profits in the cost+ bill we send NASA. We'll make more money if we just crash it into the sea."

@elonmusk The DC-X, the modern-day version of an actual Vimana / Ratha, the ancient celestial chariots with which to reach the heavens!

Curiously, nobody has implemented commercially reusable rocket design, spaceX has made reusable rackets with less money than NASA spends on office supplies every year, in the real world, actual results and cost matters. Elon did not make the first electric car, but he made the first electric car available to millions of people in North America at affordable cost with charging infrastructure. And that’s why Tesla is the number one selling electric vehicle in the developed world. That’s why my neighborhood is full of Teslas.

@elonmusk The loss of Pete Conrad allowed the “design by committee/cost+ contracting” folks to kill the Delta Clipper and maintain the expendable rocket market for another two+ decades. Just imagine what Musk and SpaceX would be doing today if that program had be successful.

@elonmusk Once someone hears about DC-X they’ll try to bring it up at every possible moment. I know this because this was once me
