Utterly mad that Labour minister Luke Pollard doesn’t seem to understand that even if petrol prices come down, families will have paid MORE for their petrol this year. Labour should cancel their fuel duty hike now.

Pakistan still sells cheap 70cc motorcycles that don't even have a fuel gauge, so riders often have no idea how much petrol is left in their bikes' fuel tanks. To solve this, many Pakistanis drill two holes in their bikes' fuel tanks and attach a transparent pipe to the outside so they can see the petrol level. Pakistan really is a very poor country. 😂😂

Petrol and diesel prices are high again so the Government should provide cost of living relief by halving the fuel excise. We called for the fuel excise to be halved earlier this year when prices got at or above $3 a litre. Thankfully the Government listened then. Now petrol prices are up there again so the relief should be provided again too. Indeed, the LNP are today calling for such fuel excise relief to be made automatic when the oil price gets above $100 a barrel for a two week period. That way Australian families can always be confident that your Government will help out when things get tough. (Our proposed change would reduce the heavy vehicle road user charge to zero too.)

Laura Kuenssberg: “If a Labour MP votes against you this week when winter fuel {allowance} is debated in the House of Commons, will you suspend them or kick them out of the party?” Keir Starmer: “Well, that will be a matter for the Chief Whip and we will assess that as we go along.” Keir Starmer then goes on to say that (regarding the winter fuel allowance removal for pensioners), “every Labour MP was voted in on a mandate to deliver change for the country.” This is horrendously disingenuous. No Labour MP was voted in to remove the winter fuel allowance for millions of pensioners. It wasn’t in their manifesto.
