Ahlan Sahlan, O Month of Ramadan. Assalamu Alaikum. To everyone at home and abroad, wherever you are, I extend my greetings on the holy month of Ramadan. The sacred month of Ramadan appears among us to purify our souls and to teach us the great lessons of sacrifice and piety (taqwa). However, in our country, every year Ramadan also becomes a season when some dishonest traders and syndicates hold ordinary people’s financial capacity hostage and engage in unethical profiteering. These unscrupulous business groups stockpile essential commodities throughout the year through syndicates, calculating how to push prices beyond the reach of working people during Ramadan and amass vast profits. During the holy month, such traders effectively blackmail both the public and the government by driving up the prices of oil, gas, sugar, chickpeas, flattened rice, and other essential goods to soaring levels. To ensure that the Muslims of Bangladesh can observe iftar, sehri, and other acts of worship without disruption, state institutions must guarantee uninterrupted electricity services. I call for both government and private initiatives to reduce gas prices for city residents. It is extremely important to ensure reliable gas and electricity services so that people do not face any hardship during the holy month of Ramadan. We must remember that ensuring service to the common people of the country is our sole commitment. Let us unite to uproot the entrenched business syndicates that exploit the holy month of Ramadan. In this struggle, our greatest strength is you, me, and all of us together.

I have so much respect for Arslan Hidayat.ئارسلان ھىدايەت Do you know why? Because when he saw me interview Hinkle who mentioned the Uighur last year, he stepped up to the plate to counter his position. No whining or crying or shaming. He did post about how it was unfair to see Hinkle go unchallenged but then recognized that he’s much more capable of doing it. So he came to my studio and had all the time in the world to communicate his position. He was polite, respectful, and intelligent. This week we’re going to drop this podcast and so many people will benefit.
