Spent the weekend cleaning it up, it’s actually kinda legit now. Vite for initial build and HMR, had to do a lot to get that do be legit and not just taped together. Next step is seeing how it handles the @tamagui_js kitchen sink
one cool thing is you can totally run a single server and have it serve both at the same time...
Oh React Native didn’t have HMR and Vite support? I guess I know what Ionic blog post I’m writing tomorrow…
It had hmr but not vite, vite works with SWC so faster HMR

Fantastic stuff! The HMR speed is terrific. I am wondering, have you managed to get it working with Hermes?
Just curious how would you make expo router to work on this? New vite plugin?
are you trying to replace metro? can this vite solution bundle the app for the web also?
