That's actually wrong because there's no return line so its retuning somewhere.

95% of that fuel goes back to the fuel tank through the return pipe.

If that much fuel is entering the engine through the intake the gasoline will "wash" the cylinders, pistons, and rings. Consequently, it is only a matter of time before the engine break down... It is possibly pretty bad carburated, or alternatively, there is a fuel return line to the tank that is going unnoticed—which is where the majority of that fuel being "consumed" is actually going...

It isn't the engine size that matters, it is the HP being produced. A small turbo 4 producing the same power would actually be less efficient.
