My VA stipend is an offset to bring me to where I would have been if I'd left the military whole.

About time Secretary Collins appeared on the podcast. Given that he has a propensity to recite his script into whichever microphone is closest, the talking points are polished. He still has not produced the underlying data, wait-time ratios, accuracy rates, suicide numbers, or independent benchmarks veterans keep asking for. He repeats that the backlog is down and takes credit for clinics whose planning started long before he arrived. That pattern showed up clearly when he struggled to justify basic budget and staffing numbers before Congress; the answers have only gotten thinner from there. A secretary who cannot show his work in a hearing is not suddenly going to show it on a podcast.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ We heard exactly what we expected to hear: more spit-shine on the tragic turf that VA has become. We deserve better.

So tired of listening to “veterans” who did a 3 year tour talking about how they now deserve a cushy check for the rest of their life.
