@AshenOneVI Valve is always ahead when they drop a game

I really hope weโll get HalfโLife 3 someday.

@AshenOneVI Of you are part of hopium or copium its belived to be release in March along with Gabecub and was supposed to be announced this year but the RAM crisis stoped that since it was belive to be announced with the price of Gabcub which is held back because of the crisis and uncertain

@AshenOneVI This guy says RAM prices won't affect Steam Machine at all. He seems to know what he's talking about.

@AshenOneVI

@AshenOneVI It wasn't CERN... it was Valve stop making games that pushed us into this mediocre timeline. ๐ซค

True๐ข

@AshenOneVI If you loved HL2 you will also like Black Mesa

I will definitely play it!

@AshenOneVI And it worked nice on my Radeon 9600!!!

@AshenOne valve predicted twitter would become X

Ahhahah๐๐

@AshenOneVI Quality games... valve was outperforming everything while keeping it playable on pc`s

@AshenOneVI

This is my first video where I tried a bit of editing on my new PC. I always post gaming content, so if you enjoy that, Iโd really appreciate the follow. Iโll keep improving with time, and the edit isnโt anything major, but Iโll get better as I go. Thanks a lot! By the way, if you want to add me on Steam, feel free to do so. My friend code is: 1313814337.

@AshenOneVI It's too bad that if someone tried to remake HL in UE it would require a 9800X3D, 128GB of DDR5 and two 5090s in SLI. ๐

@AshenOneVI I think Half-Life 2 and the Source engine was the peak of gaming for me, and many. Modern games have managed to look better than Half-Life 2 (but not by that much) but none have ever managed to feel better to play or feel more immersive in their environment.

@AshenOneVI To put it further into perspective; we played this on computers that were just a step up from Windows 98/DOS rigs. The vast majority of us had graphics cards on the AGP bus as the first PCI-E graphics card didnโt come out until that same year.

@AshenOneVI Same can be said for half life alyx. It feels like a game from 2030

@AshenOneVI HL2 is probably the most influential game ever. Valve basically set the baseline for every game that came after.

@AshenOneVI Still better physics than the majority of games released today.

@AshenOneVI For me, they were all great because of the level design although HL2 falls off a bit. It makes up for it with the physics playground.

@AshenOneVI Half-Life 2 was like the moon landing, way ahead of it's time, and we no longer have the technology. Except Half-Life 2 wasn't fake and gay.

@AshenOneVI Then they somehow backported it to the xbox with 64mb of RAM. Hard to think about now when MS Teams uses 1gb in the background.

@AshenOne pre-warp speed DEI programs

@AshenOne Was thinking about this one today. One of the greatest video games of all time.

@AshenOneVI Half-life 2 was the greatest game of all time. This was such a leap forward.

@AshenOne The amazing part is how it would run on a rubbish computer without issues ๐

@AshenOneVI That in-game visual benchmark still looks INSANE to this day.

@AshenOne This ran on an Xbox with 64MB RAM, too. Twitter uses over 1GB for a tab.

@AshenOneVI oh my god this makes me SO FUCKING HARD NRRGGHHHH... FUCK!!!

@AshenOne Just a reminder GTA san Andreas and half life 2 were released the same year

@AshenOneVI They were creating games with passion instead of trying to maximize profits out of every square inch of game.

@AshenOne People are rediscovering how good half life 2 is

@AshenOneVI I donโt care about graphics, give me back games that arenโt based on squeezing out me last money and are actually good. Until then I will celebrate every ass studio going bankrupt yet pray for the employees anyway

@AshenOneVI Woah normal physics things that has been in games for ages!

@AshenOneVI

@AshenOneVI I've been saying for a while that they should just make the newest Half-Life 3 with the same aesthetic and engine and nothing fancy to capture that magic again.

@AshenOneVI still better than 90% of games today

@AshenOneVI Damn right they were! Back when they actually released games and weren't just counting money from hats and card drops. What the hell happened to that timeline, seriously? Did Gabe just trip and fall into a vault of cash and forget how to make a sequel?

@AshenOneVI The locations themselves are sterile and monotonous. The combat system is also crude. Sure, there are a few interesting moments, but there wasn't much competition. Now it feels like an average indie game, nothing more.

@AshenOne HALF-LIFE FOREVER!!!!
