The problem is that in order for you to be closed out on your Social Security index, someone’s gotta make the call. What I mean by this is when you die if one of your family members does not call Social Security to let us know, we will not know. And yes, the funeral homes are supposed to make the call as well, but we’re talking about funeral homes that don’t even bury the people properly 🤦🏽‍♀️ On the flipside of that, if you know somebody Social Security number their birthdate and some other information, you can erroneously call and report them as deceased, and their whole life will crumble.
