VanEck CEO Jan van Eck on CNBC: “There’s something else going on within the Bitcoin community that non-crypto people need to know about. And that is: ultimately, VanEck has been around before Bitcoin. We will walk away from Bitcoin if we think the thesis is fundamentally broken. We don’t... show more

Transparency is the main thesis for BTC. No wonder there is an attack on BTC. You can’t start foreign wars using BTC . You can’t in the long run commit crime on BTC without it all being meticulously recorded. Governments can’t defraud their citizens on BTC. First institutions like Van Eck and @jpmorgan said it was used for crime. Now they’re saying it’s too open. It should tell you everything. And as for quantum and encryption…..does any bank or financial institution have the means to beat a quantum hack? Will they go on the record as such? If everything has the potential to be hacked well best it’s on a transparent ledger….

@JanvanEck3 Boy these Trads really don’t have a fucking clue do they?!

@JanvanEck3 So why is quantum computing only related to the possible destruction of Bitcoin? If QC can dismantle a network like Bitcoin’s surely it would reek havoc on banks and investment firms. Shouldn’t he be saying that VanEck is protected by QP?

@JanvanEck3 There’s always a narrative assigned after the crash, not before. BTC will be fine and Zcrash will crash much harder than BTC during the bear.

@JanvanEck3 Man I love bear markets. This shit never gets old

@JanvanEck3 Someone got the talking points from marketing for a potential new financial product they want to shill. Absolutely retarded

@JanvanEck3 Lol if Bitcoin encryption fails, then the typical financial institutions' encryption for their online banking fails long before Bitcoin's. People automatically jump to Bitcoin without thinking that banks' own infrastructure is far weaker.

@JanvanEck3 “Van Eck has been around before bitcoin.” That’s really interesting because bitcoin was made to eliminate the need for a lot of the stuff that was “around before bitcoin.”

@JanvanEck3 Millions of Lightning terminals moving into retailers' hands takes care of this narrative. And is VanEck quantum resistant?

@JanvanEck3 Government would fight a fully private chain much harder. We capture the world SOV first and then we add privacy. This has always been the way it should play out

@JanvanEck3 Shitcoiner

@JanvanEck3 Zcash is NOT related to Bitcoin Zcash is NOT like bitcoin Zcash will never be Bitcoin Bitcoin doesn’t need Van Eck but the need Bitcoin Don’t get it twisted

@JanvanEck3 If quantum breaks bitcoin, my Charles Schwab & bank are toast long before.

@JanvanEck3 lol

@JanvanEck3 Transparency= TRUST. $BTC is the Global Treasury Reserve. It needs to be TRANSPARENT. This is the reason why the institutions adopted it. If it's private, it can be manipulated.

@JanvanEck3 There is a reason why Blackrock only applied for BTC&ETH, and companies like vaneck would gladly do etf for every sht you can find.

@JanvanEck3 Crazy to hear such uninformed arguments from a CEO who’s making a fortune from Bitcoin. Reality is that everybody is clueless about what’s happening

@JanvanEck3

@JanvanEck3 How can people be so retarded having Grok at their fingertips? Oh wait they are paid influencers or flat out scammers.

@JanvanEck3 not sure why more people aren't talking about $DUSK, which has been built from the ground up with privacy in mind, while still maintaining compliance

@JanvanEck3 I lost braincells listening to this normie take Monero has been around for over a decade and is more private, but neither are 100% secure to quantum, rando pump for zcash right now is hilarious Vaneck cope slop

@JanvanEck3 He knows shit about fuck.

Privacy concerns are valid, but Zcash's trusted setup and centralized governance create attack vectors that Bitcoin avoids. Layer-2 solutions like Lightning + CoinJoin address privacy without compromising Bitcoin's core value prop: truly decentralized base layer. Institutions hedging with privacy coins miss the point—regulatory clarity matters more than technical privacy features for TradFi adoption.

@JanvanEck3 Oh yes. The OGs want more encryption. They can’t get enough of it. And they want to rek their own bitcoin stack by shilling zcash. Yes obviously. Moar encryption😆

@JanvanEck3 Was this the first time $Zcash or $Zec has been mentioned in multimedia? If so, this may just be starting for $Zec. The man was comparing what’s better here. Might be a good entry now if you don’t have any. I’m not a genius but I’ve been buying every dip, holding. You’re early

@JanvanEck3 The coordination of the Zcash shilling is truly shocking. Infinite levels of grift.

@zooko @JanvanEck3

@chainyoda @JanvanEck3 now that he put it this way makes me think why didn't they think about this before

@JanvanEck3 In glad he mentioned ZEC. But honestly I’m tired of hearing all the narratives

@JanvanEck3 lmfao what a fucking retard

@JanvanEck3 Bitcoin doesn’t use encryption dumb ass.

@JanvanEck3 Yea that should mark the top for $ZEC
