The paper was fraudulent and did grave harm to discourse on lab leak. We have now learned that some of these same SMEs influenced the CIA and IC studies, according to reports since DNI has yet to disclose what experts were called. "Proximal Origin" is a largely successful effort to deceive the American people and the global scientific community and should be retracted. Its authors should apologize for their role in this despicable fraud.
