Rick Caruso jumped into overdrive and ensured the Palisades Village Mall had private firefighters and water trucks. The Palisades is gone, but his mall survived. It makes you wonder what would have happened if he won his 2022 mayoral race against Karen Bass - would the rest of the Palisades still be standing? Half of the time leadership is just showing up and doing what needs to get done. Bass left the country two days before a massive wildfire despite suspending her Deputy Mayor for Public Safety just weeks earlier. It is time for Bass to resign.
