Some folks asking about batteries and coolant You wanna run 60/40 glycol mix at minimum, 70/30 is best As for batteries, IMO any AGM battery (absorbent glass mat) is the most reliable in super cold temps.

Saskatchewan is usually pretty cold but not much -50. Happens but not a regular temp. Great advice to anyone experiencing really cold temps. Now do one om your survival pack you keep in your automobile. Mines even got food. lol 😂 Never know eh? 🙌🏻

The only thing I would add? Is change those molded on female cord ends to the hard plastic replacement units. They connect and disconnect alot easier!

Merry Christmas JP!!!

You as well DJ! Stay warm!🍻

How does your battery fair in 50 below? I bought a battery blanket for my old truck a few years back when Alberta was getting -40 temps and it helped a lot.

I recommend AGM battery, they seem to do well and last the longest. Some people are starting to say the new lithium kick ass, but I haven’t tested yet

Merry Christmas DJ. All the best over the holidays and here's hoping we get a break soon.

Merry Christmas to you and yours, Mike

Okay... it's -50°C, and he's not wearing any gloves. That's a 100% certified Canadian! ⛄️🇨🇦 😄

You know it ain’t no joke when the snowv squeaks under your feet!!!!

Merry Christmas man. Great video for people who just don’t know.

Merry Christmas, brother! Fantastic scenery - Yukon never disappoints.

@bushcrafter79 Merry Christmas Redneck!!

Tip number one dont be in 50 below lol. And I thought 40 below was bad. Ive had brand new batteries fail in week of minus 40

I lived in Nunavut. To see how cold it was, I used to look for a raven out the window to see how much ice was around its head.

Merry Christmas from -2 in Oxford Station, Ontario !!! Great tips by the way !!

Merry Christmas from the edge of the Alberta Badlands.

Solid tips. You’re not going to feel like sledding at -50. Merry Christmas.

MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎅

Merry Christmas. 🎄

@LivinTheFringe @s_guilbeault, “fossil fuels are your friend”. Exactly.

Damn right we'd all be dead without oil. Problem being it is coming. So that's the intent. Really good tips . Thanks for sharing Yukon. Damn brutal cold.

Never heard of yellow blue orange for cords? Pretty sure they don’t have a colour code for temp. Battery blanket makes huge difference, cranks over like its summer.

Plastics have a hard time at those temps, much like your extension cord. I have never experienced -50, but at -40 lost the handle to my truck’s tailgate. Nothing wants to work at those temps.

Merry Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

@TKRanch Astounding! Are the Global Warming liberal priests sending out flares in the night sky in your neck of the woods? Merry Xmas to you buddy of the North.

Adding to frozen snot, I submit the freezing(and peeling) of your ear wax, and the condensation of your breath freezing your eyelashes together.

Merry Christmas man! Good video and scenery If you are taking questions though how do you keep the biday from freezing? Keep well

Don't shut it off is also a good tip😁

Merry christmas big guy!🍻👍

Merry Christmas great video

Merry Christmas to you my friend, have a great time and stay safe…. Geeezzz -50
