I can search a database with 32 million records in less than 50 milliseconds. This speed is insane! There's no reason your search is slow. There's no reason you aren't using this library when building applications with a lot of data. Take a look at typesense |. It's an open-source search engine. It's crazy fast and easy to use. Wife and I were discussing backyard renovations today, but a hard time visualizing things to scale. So I wanted to see if I can turn a simple iPhone video of my backyard into a walkable 3D model with a chat to generate any asset on the fly using LLMs. Used Matt Shumer's gauntlet loop to one shot this (worked so well). Feels like playing The Sims with my own house. Can only imagine an app where contractors can just take a video of a space and instantly give a 3D demo of designs for customers, but with better graphics. Surely this has been made? So cool

Gave Astra a 3D scan of my parents old home to make it an editable scene. Then I turned down gravity and opened a portal. Turns out multimodal LLMs might have crossed the chasm on inverse graphics. Tremendous implications for everything from VFX and AR/VR to robotics. Process: ~400 2D photos I took in 2019 went through RealityScan and became a photogrammetry mesh. That’s the classical reconstruction step. Then I dropped that mesh into Blender and used Astra to turn it into a fully editable, cleaned up 3D scene. Asked it to use textures from my photo scan and create procedural 3D shaders for the rest. It's good but it’s definitely not perfect -- funny thing is some of the mistakes are inherited from the reference mesh RealityScan produced i.e. the bird statue’s legs, contours of the furniture etc. This is where humans still have much better “spatial autocomplete” and can take an output like this all the way. My next step will be to see if I can let it use CUA with the photoscan software to interactively reference the source pixel imagery and refine its work in Blender and get even closer to reality.

Releasing Three-Roads (MIT License) It's the road library i built for my open world game, it contains an authoring library with a lane-aware graph structure, a threejs mesh renderer and a SVG renderer Most roads are modeled after german road topology, however it is quite easy to change it to any system you want. At its core, roads are defined as a collection of (curved) edges with nodes representing either extension points or junctions. You can split and merge lanes at any point on a road. Markings follow some logic, but might require adjustments depending on your use case. Highway ramps require some conscious effort to connect cleanly with inner city roads. The junction logic can be a bit messy depending on what edges flow in or out, i didn't go through all thousands of combinations but just fix them with codex as i build more roads in the city. It does not contain any props, except for a few in the demo app. Props are placeholders in the actual library, so you can place whatever you want for trees or street islands or highway signs. There is a documentation on how to author roads in the bottom of the readme Have fun guys, you can build quite sophisticated and complex road networks with it. ✨ I made a little demo of #vibejam sponsor Tripo and how you can use it to generate assets for your games In this case I'm generating an apartment flat that's half destroyed and open for my drone sim to fly around, take cover and shoot at enemies from First I write the prompt and select Nano Banana to generate an image first, I get a few different ones, and I select the one I like Then that one is converted into a 3d object called a Smart Mesh Smart Mesh is different than regular image-to-3d models because usually you get issues with uneven polygon distribution, too dense geometry and poor edge flow, so while you think you save time with generating it with AI you end up doing lots of editing after to fix the topology which kinda defeats the point Smart Mesh doesn't have any of this, it's fast and clean low-poly models you can drop into your game Anyway, after generating the model I can then see it in 3d, and if I don't like it, regenerate it, or if I like it start texturing it Once that's done, I export it as a GLB, FBX or OBJ and drop it in (usually I use GLB as ThreeJS seems to prefer that), in my case I just drop the URL into Cursor and let it figure out the placement of the asset into my game!

ALRIGHT! Introducing SEEDTHREE! A Three.js webgpu procedural plant generator. I'm releasing this fully open source. I built this with Claude Fable and GPT-5.5 Codex + gptimage2 over just the past few days. The best part is: given the code, your agents can add new plants to it all you want! They just need an understanding of the code and an image generator capable of creating material maps. I highly encourage you to do PRs for any extra plants you add! I'll be adding more myself in future versions. The system is fully robust: it provides complete LOD and billboards/imposters generation for the plants and you can adjust the detail levels all you want for different platform targets like mobile and/or use lower LODs as your main for extreme optimization. As this is the first release alpha version, some bugs may have been missed, I encourage you to report any bugs. The repo includes all the assets for the scenery world too, even the ambient sounds of birds and wind! This is targeted at high end laptop and PC use, it requires baking generated geometry, so you won't be using this on a phone (I mean, feel free to try, but I doubt it'll run well, lol).
