I think it made a very effective horror setpiece. Animation never translates well to Live Action without taking a trip to the Uncanny Valley.

Its a little different, i like it! It opens the story up for new avenues. As long as it doesnt drastically change the story, i dont see the problem Like, season 1, merry dies instead of living, ok vengeance arc, kaya's staff are secretly kuro's minions, thats more believable

Live action ruined One Piece manga for me, haven’t read the manga in years but used to love it. It’s not to say the first season of live action was bad… there is just something off when it comes to experiencing one piece in art format vs movie.. complete different stories
