@PAWil62279712 He’s speaking a lot of sense tbh Gregg … no one is asking Amorim to abandon his way of playing all together just to tweak a bit until he gets the players he wants who can play his system

We had a manager last season, who changed his way of playing, to try and suit the players of Manchester United. He was sacked. The trouble is, no matter what Amorim does, there will be better managers on here, and on TV pundit panels.

In my time as an engineer I often found myself on site without the right tools, equipment or software. I had to find a workaround to get the plant running, even if only a temporary fix which had to be resolved properly later...

I think this table is absolutely damning Jimmy.

I’m afraid to say he is right on a few of these points.

@BowieNo7 Yes because they did really well in that system previously. If it worked then he wouldn’t be here now. Was anyone talking about the “system” before? No.. they were saying ETH’s personality was the problem… now the manager has personality.. the system is the problem. 🙄

You all want amorim to adapt or change his formation but can someone please tell me what formation these players are good at coz last time I checked ten hag threw his awhole philosophy out the window to accommodate a style these players are used to & still got the sack?

It's nothing that a lot of us haven't been saying for a while though Jimmy. I've been met with the argument that if Ruben adaps it's a sign of weakness. I think it's the complete opposite. To change/adapt is a sign of strength. You can't make lemonade from apples.

He makes a lot of sense, however playing a 4-2-3-1 didn't exactly work out for the previous 2 managers. Last season we are to easy to play through, players don't know when to press or don't press as a group. We don't score enough goals. Different formation same problems.
