It’s simply because our government imported the unwanted third world. They do the same here as they did there, without a care. Then others follow. Keep Britain Tidy.

Sadly there is only so much we volunteers can do. I collected 1296 bags last year cleaned off graffiti weeded gutters cleaned signs but can only do around here. It's never ending

I just got back from UK. The litter is atrocious and worse than the 70s when we didn’t know better. Brits need to stop moaning about how bad things are. Stop moaning about others and get out there. Reclaim their spaces and spread their values. Don’t just sit there and think, government is shit, therefore I’m not going to do anything. Retaking Britain starts with cleaning up your spaces. Take pride in the spaces you visit everyday. Start organising cleanups and make a community of people with shared values. You have the power. You don’t need permission.

plenty of working aged young men from 'overseas' in hotels and HMO's doing nothing.. surely they can do their worth while waiting on immigration decisions !!

Unpopular opinion but I support national service, either in armed forces or national citizenship service that could start to tackle some of these issues. As it is in most areas litterpicking is left to volunteers . It’s a never ending task !

One see this everywhere now, and it's really quite a recent phenomenon. More of that 'import the Third World, become the Third World' stuff.

Keeping Britain tidy is like fighting a losing battle as long as they keep importing the problem. But then again, the succession of traitors in Downing Street know this, that's why they keep importing these people.

Roadside #litter is horrendous & impossible to reach safely. Littering has become a norm for too many. Let’s make NOT dropping it & picking some up the norm. Building it into a daily habit while walking the dog is very effective when 12 million are out walking every day anyway.

On a wider subject we was driving around our town yesterday (Grimsby, yes we know!) & we said it’s never looked as scruffy as it does now. Just so many vacant empty buildings on land which are now completely forgotten about & litter strewn. Uncared for eyesores. No one cares.

Well the problem is that packaging has increased. The population has increased. Landfill is no longer viable, and council regulations make it more difficult to dump. People also are lazy, inconsiderate & without conscience. Remember the covid mask mass dumpings?

I have been in touch with a number of counsellors in my area regarding litter everywhere specifically on network rail owned land along train tracks. And these counsellor showed very little interest to help so I scratched my head to ask what they actually do.

I visited my childhood stomping ground in east London last weekend and the roads were covered in litter. Small fly tips everywhere. It genuinely made me upset and would break my parents hearts to see the state the area is now in.

It’s not difficult to take your litter home or put it in a bin. We have this all the time at our local football club. Lazy, inconsiderate people. The bin is right there

Importing the third world and molly coddling the younger generation has consequences. We used to have civic pride and social responsibility... Now we have shite everywhere.

I've recently returned to the UK after many years living overseas and the rubbish and dog poo on our streets has shocked me. I get there's not enough money to clean the streets..apparently, but who's leaving all this rubbish behind? Have we no pride in our hometowns now?

Not surprising when such a large number of drivers on our roads are from the 3rd world, and have no reason to respect our country. They're not the only culprits of course, but their terrible example rubs off on others.

The entirety of that god awful mess could be recycled. The message just isn’t getting through. How easy would it be to have a plastic bag in your car to collect up your own rubbish and process it at home?! This country is full of lazy shitheads.

People will throw rubbish on the ground near a bin. It’s absolutely crazy. Have they no respect for their surroundings? We need to fine litterers.

This isn't really news or anything new. Britain has had a litter problem since at least the 60's unlike most of Europe. Unfortunately littering has become the norm probably through lack of education & enforcement with the situation getting worse

I think its a mindset of people who’d rather chuck their rubbish into a bush, rather than holding onto it until they get home. That education isn’t there. I don’t know if its done because its plastic and it isnt worth anything? No financial dis/encouragements.
