Indian govt wants 2036 to be equivalent to China's 2008 🇮🇳 2008 was a monumental year for Chinese PR, because it reintroduced the world to an image of China being a developed nation with quality infrastructure 🇨🇳 This was when Chinese GDP PCI was only $2.7k btw (India's PCI is $2.9-3k in 2025 by comparison) If the 2036 Summer Olympics is held in India (when Indian PCI will be $9-10k), I suspect GIFT city being built for that v purpose. By 2036, India will be on verge of becoming a developed nation ($14k PCI needed), you will see pollution and trash disappear, rivers being clean and much better civic sense.

Today in Ivano-Frankivsk, the final stage of selection for the national Tysiachovesna initiative is taking place. A total of 1,227 projects made it to the final. That is an amazing number. And this number proves that all of our Ukrainian art can become an even greater force. The results of the first Tysiachovesna will now be extremely important: which projects will be created with state support, how they will be received by Ukrainian viewers, listeners, and all our people – the people Tysiachovesna is for. Will Ukrainians in general be interested in this? Will this become a strong voice for Ukraine in the world? This is very important to us, especially in wartime. I believe we will succeed. And exactly one year from now, we will not only be summing up the dry statistics of the first Tysiachovesna through projects that have already been brought to life – we will be talking about the triumphs of our cinema, animation, theater, music, and all of our Ukrainian art, which is here to stay. To be successful, high-quality, and popular among all Ukrainians. This is an important goal for which Tysiachovesna was launched and which it will continue to pursue in the years ahead.

We also discussed intergovernmental cooperation and partnership for regional security. I am grateful to Serbia for its support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity. I also thank the First Lady of Serbia for taking part in the Summits of First Ladies and Gentlemen and for her attention to the issue of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia. Today, we have a very important decision of the Supreme Court of the Netherlands 🇳🇱 regarding the Scythian gold collection. The Ukrainian 🇺🇦 collection. The collection kept in our Crimea, but which cannot be returned to Crimea for an obvious reason – it cannot be given to the occupier, the robber. I am currently en route to Brussels for a special European Council meeting at the leadership level, where I will present our Victory Plan – a tool to compel Russia towards peace. European leaders will hear how we need to strengthen our positions to end this war justly. I am thankful to Charles Michel, President of the European Council, for Ukraine’s invitation. Meetings in the European Parliament are also planned – with President Roberta Metsola and the heads of political groups. I will also meet with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and we are preparing for the “Ukraine-NATO” Council meeting at the defense ministers’ level. Our priority remains securing more protection for Ukraine ahead of the winter.

It is very important: for the first time since independence, we have formed a security foundation for Ukraine on its way to NATO. These are concrete security guarantees that are confirmed by the top 7 democracies in the world. Never before have we had such a security foundation, and this is the level of the G7. On this foundation, we will build a new, legally binding architecture of bilateral security treaties with the most powerful countries. Very importantly, during these two days of the Summit, we have put to rest any doubts and ambiguities about whether Ukraine will be in NATO. It will! For the first time, not only do all Allies agree on this, but a significant majority in the Alliance is vigorously pushing for it. Never before have the words "you are equal among equals" for Ukraine from other NATO members sounded truly meaningful. Now everyone understands that this is a fact. Equal among equals. And we will definitely reaffirm this fact with our victory. And with our accession to NATO. Previously, Russia's rulers wanted to have their own fence in front of NATO's door. We have left this Russian ambition on the margins of European history – behind the fence of our unity in Europe and, more broadly, in the free world. I am grateful to all those who have worked for unity in Vilnius now!
