This is always an emotional event but will be superseded by tomorrow’s service at Bayeaux cemetery. I have handkerchiefs ready

Freedom is never free, they tell me. I know that more than most realise. Freedom cost us more than we should give. Freedom cost us blood, It costs us lives Of our fathers, Our sons and Our brothers. And freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.

My dad who died in 1994 was with 6th Airborne at Pegasus bridge. His red beret and medals are with the Muckleburgh museum in Norfolk.

@Ward56542233 Many thanks to the Taxi Charity ❤️

Amazing experience to travel through Pegasus Bridge on a cruise and stop to see the Horsa glider exhibition. Such brave men.

Heroes of D Day then and now Lest we forget. At the going down of the sun We shall remember them

Cherish the ones that are left.

Oh bless them 🙏🏻🫡❤️

❤️❤️
