There was a Syrian lady I met who was attending a child autism course a few years ago, we got alking and I asked why Ireland was her choice. She said that the UN approached her in the camp she was in and asked if she wanted to go to Ireland. She said they went tent to tent at this. She told me she'd never heard of Ireland and didn't know where it was. Looked on a map and then was encouraged by others in the camp to go. She now has a cake business in castlebar paid for by us.
