explains the quality of the effects such a tough choice now deciding which engine to use now that we can build with any engine for me godot has yielded the most balanced results between quality, performance and token consumption while building

For being a visual effect maker, I am struggling the path i should go for. Do you feel vfx in godot matches quality of the project?

from my experience it has been unreal > unity > threejs > godot if we speak purely in terms of how good the quality can get then ofc the current project I'm working on doesn't need such high quality vfx too godot comes out on top in dev speed, least token usage and just overall more hacky for the ai to work with for me its more important to build a working game loop first and a game that feels fun to play it would be much easier to port the game into a new engine when its ready and then do polishing on the vfx (if i need) frontier models are way too good at porting game engines while maintaining full functionality and accessibility

@hun0fx You are saying AI is really good with unreal engine more than Godot? how is that possible when Godot language is very similar to python which AI is great at?

read again what i replied to the vfx quality bar is much higher in unreal engine. it would take AI a lot of tokens and back and forth to build things properly in unreal engine but it can produce much better quality in unreal engine while being expensive to work with i don't know exactly what makes godot easy to work for AI but it just works so efficiently in terms of token usage and very very fast to iterate

With your experience, do you think using ai for vfx (as a tool) is interesting ? Or it is more a danger for vfx artist 😅
