To me, the one clear thing about 73 Yards is that it's *meant* to not fully make sense; the whole thing is a metatextual exercise in how we interpret the unexplained, as is explicitly discussed in the dialogue. Anyone telling you they know the 'right' answer is missing the point!

Is there an existing iPhone Pro app that simultaneously records the LiDAR stream and a standard RGB video? Apps like Record3D App seem to only store RGB for the points in the LiDAR point cloud but without recording a standard RGB video.

More games need to take inspiration from Quake's impact effects. It's so simple, a mesh rotated to face the normal of the impacted surface. Can always add particles and all afterwards on top of it, but this way you get a sharp visual.

Limited depth resolution, noisy output, not really built for high-precision 3D. You can't change the hardware. So we built an ML layer on top. Denoising, geometry completion, detail recovery. Processed server-side. Same sensor. Very different result.
