I threw this together using gh copilot + claude 4 + aspire in a couple of minutes. This is an aspire app with a python fastapi using a wizard to setup a python virtual environment. These types of experiences can be built in minutes, reusable and custom to your application/environment/team etc. Next version of aspire is going to be 🔥🔥. #dotnet #aspire #python #fastapi

In preparation for my talk at Update Conference, I've prepared a tool to visualize the activity of the GC. It was initially meant as a gimmick, but it turns out to be a good way to understand some GC mechanisms. For instance, here you can see the effect of DOTNET_GCDynamicAdaptationMode=1 on the lower side, dynamically scaling up the number of heaps to absorb a spike of traffic, then scaling back down. The top application is running with default settings. Both are receiving the same traffic. #dotnet #progc2

The top question I got was does Halo support local LLM running on a Mac. Here's an example of the app using gemma-4-26b-a4b-qat via LM Studio running on a base M5/32GB. It's giving an average of 40 tok/s and in my brief testing is able to execute all tool calls correctly. Very usable with this app.
