MAKE THE BUTTON BLUE

“I can see the issue. Let me fix this… There, now it’s done.” five minutes later “You’re right, the error’s still there. Let me check the backend… There, now it’s done.” ten minutes later “You’re still right. I’ve fixed nothing. I’m just vibing with the bug now.”

“You’re absolutely correct.” 🤣

This has not been my experience at all. Skill issue. The biggest constraint on vibe coding is your own English speaking abilities. Codex, especially when ran locally through VS Code, will do EXACTLY what you ask it to. You run into issues when you believe Codex can read your mind and then fails to implement something you didn’t even ask for.

and regular coding

Vibe coding on @caffeineai :

Vibe coding only works for those who already know how to code. Instead of ending up in a perpetual cycle of fixes and breaks, they can manually understand the code and address the issues. Purely vibe-coded apps exist only in YouTube videos and hobby projects. The bugs reported and the changes requested by end users in live production would completely break under vibe-style bug fixing. Products where the creator hopes a prompt will fix issues without breaking anything else don’t last very long.

When you suffer from cognitive retardation and vibe code. That’s the result. AI will code anything and everything better than all human coders combined, by itself with no prompts, in less than 120 months. I will bet anything.

Only if you're not paying attention.

same here. keyboard: sticky code: spaghetti wallet: -99% life: vibes LFGO!

anyone who vibe codes like this can't write english sentences, instructions, or both well enough to get anything done.

Regular coding:

One day vibe coding gonna send someone straight to the unemployment line with a latte in hand 😭

@pargatishere gambling

Training a traditional ML model with bad data

hahaha good one🤣

This couldn’t be more accurate. Right now there’s still massive value in being able to fix the small things yourself.

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve had to throw away over 20K+ lines of video-coded slop. 🤣

I hope vibe coders can do: git fetch origin git reset --hard origin/main git clean -fd

prompting till Purple gradient gets removed

I used Claude Code CLI to vibe code an app, similar experience but not too bad. If you ask the LLM to plan first, then code, it performs better.

Oh, so we all live same lives? I don’t feel so bad anymore 🥹🥹🥲

me when I'm using figma Make

almost had it 7 times in a row 🐸

Sooo truee 😭

Vibe coding 2024.

Always make a copy of atleast the working ones or its a infinite loop..

Lol 😂

Unpopular opinion, I think what’s killing most organizations more than vibe coding is vibe managing. This is not to discount vibe coding being a problem. There are a lot of managers that have no idea what their ICs are doing. This leads to wasted and directionless development.

no. skill issue.

Can’t say I disagree. But the alternative is having it closed one on the left when you needed it open for weeks, because the dev is too expensive / unwilling to fix it. That makes the DIY more desirable. :)

I'll give you a reward if you do well.

I think there are levels and stages to what everyone calls vibecoding, and i can tell you when you know how to use the tools and you act as the project manager and let the AI be the developer, the experience is far more different

at the end it should work
