@Firebase Great video! Riley, do you ever use Claude Code or do you only use Codex?

@Firebase Incredible video! Although, I’m genuinely curious why you’re making videos promoting Codex rather than your own vibe coding tool?

@Firebase I'm not promoting anything. Making useful videos using tools me and our team use on a daily basis.

@Firebase The queuing vs steering section at 39:02 is what most people skip and then wonder why their app drifts after 10 prompts. That mental model shift is the real unlock.

@Firebase is Codex doing most of the app wiring here, or are db, auth, and storage still manual enough to teach?

Profilbild von Riley Brown

@Firebase all you have to do is turn on firebase and codex does rest.

Claude, Codex, and others are all based on the same training data, years of github repositories. how they deliver it is more of a comfort factor for the dev. Once you get comfortable, there's little reason to switch. It's nice to have choices, but I suspect it will be like the everlasting feud about the best smart phone. The one you are using is always the winner.

@Firebase Vibe coding skips syntax, not architecture. You still debug auth and state when the model drifts.

the pattern from every vibe coding tutorial: setup friction kills more first apps than the model does. signup, billing, sandbox config, all before the first prompt. the maker loop catches when intent to running app is 30 seconds, not 30 minutes. written with ai
