The harsh reality is that you cannot protect the family by dismantling the rule of law. You cannot honor faith by using it as a tool for hatred. And you cannot claim sovereignty when the state is owned by a single man. The Orbán-Vance model isn't a defense of Western values. It is their funeral. Across the European continent and the American heartland, there is a quiet, persistent yearning for stability. Millions of citizens hold a genuine, heartfelt belief in the importance of national sovereignty, the sanctity of the family, and the grounding influence of faith. These are not radical ideas; they are the traditional pillars of Western society. However, a dangerous political sleight-of-hand is taking place. Leaders like Viktor Orbán, and his American apprentice JD Vance, have seized these universal values and refashioned them into a "moral shield" for what is, in reality, a blueprint for the dismantling of democracy. For the average European, "sovereignty" means having a say in one’s own future. For Orbán, it is a tool used to build a fortress of impunity. By casting the traditional family unit as being under existential siege from "woke" ideology, they justify the takeover of media and education. It is an "illiberal" version of the family that demands state interference in private lives while simultaneously cutting the social safety nets—healthcare and public schools—that actually allow families to thrive.
