Victor Davis Hanson issues a direct warning to Zohran Mamdani and his ilk pushing identity politics. Hanson argues that once people are taught to only see each other through the lens of race and tribal identity, the result isn’t unity, it’s more tribalism. And he says those who started...

Victor Davis Hanson: Elon Musk is a Renaissance man, a Da Vinci of our age—and Democrats hate that. “Elon Musk represents everything [Democrats] are not. He's a Renaissance man of the 21st century. He reinvented social media. He's saving NASA from itself. He created the whole EV industry, basically single-handedly. Let's not even get into the AI, the tunnels and all the other things he does. So, he's a Renaissance man. He's a Da Vinci of our age, and they hate that. This election is starting to come down to the people who lecture us and say, you can't do things, can't do this, can't do that, got to think this way, must be this way, to the people who are getting tired of being lectured. They say we can do stuff, and we're going to do stuff. And one side says, you should be ashamed of who you are. Your Constitution was flawed, it got worse, now it's even the worst of all, you should be guilty of who you are. And the other side says, you know, I'm tired of that. Our civilization has nothing to apologize for. We're better than any other alternative, and we don't have to be perfect to be good. So, I think people were getting to an inflection point, like you pointed out, and you can feel it. You can feel it in the country that people are getting tired of this. And the people, the real people who want to do things and are optimistic and think things are going to get better are going to not vote for them, they don't want to. They don't want their message anymore, their habit. The jig's up. I really believe that.” Victor Davis Hanson with Laura Ingraham on Fox News, October 16, 2024

“You're not entitled to get what you want. I love you. You're entitled to earn what you're willing to go work for. And that's true in our families, in our parenting, in our marriage, in our companies, in society. If we want it, go earn it. If that's positivity, have positivity. I think and I am a positive person. I am jacked. I am excited. Obviously, you can feel my energy through technology here, I hope. Frankly, think positive people just need to get a lot stronger. I really do. I mean, I don't want to call them weak because people hear that differently but it kind of is. Look, if you want that positivity to stick, you’ve got to get tougher. Not sacrifice your love and your care and your empathy, but you got to get tough. And then we have to figure out how to love the people who are cynical because I don't think there's a ton of bad people in the world and I don't think there's a ton of bad people on teams. But I do think there are people who've been burned out. I do think there are people who have been through things in their lives. They've been through things in their company. They're experiencing stuff somewhere else. For whatever reason, they just kind of got run down and cynical and negative, or whatever. Or they're just wired a little different than we are. And I don't to hate on those people. I want to win those people. They don't have to be like me. They don't have to have my energy. But I want those people on my team. I want to love those people. And if eventually they choose that they don't believe in the same things that I believe in, I want to make it really clear and obvious that they don't want to be on this team because we're not about that. You know what I'm saying? I want it to be very easy, obvious, that, ‘Hey I should not be on this team. Because this team is full of very positive people who have great energy and talk to people, not about them.’ And we solve problems. We don't complain. We don't get defensive. We're real. I recognize I'm imperfect and I'm vulnerable to show you that about me. I want to be on that kind of a team. And if there's somebody who doesn’t believe in that stuff, I want to make it really easy for them to say, ‘Look, I don't want to be on this team. I don't wanna live like you guys live. I don't want do what you guys do.’ And then I really hope that that person leaves us and goes and joins our competitor.”

AOC Last Night did a 1-Hour Long Instagram Live About the Possibilities of Biden Dropping out. It's quite interesting. I have summarized some of her more important statements (full video below): - "If you're falling out of a coconut tree, God bless you. If you're riding with the President, God bless. I'm not an open-convention person. I think that is crazy." - “If they’re going to come out and say all their little things on background, off the record, but they’re not going to be fully honest, I’m going to be honest for them. I’m in these rooms. I see what they say in conversations,” - "I'm just going to say it: If you think that there is consensus among the people who want Joe Biden to leave... that they will support Vice President Harris, you would be mistaken. They are interested in removing the whole ticket." - "Maybe I'm being too risk-averse. Maybe I'm not seeing what other people are seeing. I leave space for that. And like, whatever. Like, maybe I'm taking a big L." - “I’m not here to tell you that if Joe Biden is the nominee, he’s definitely going to win because I don’t think if anybody is the nominee, we’re definitely going to win. I’m here to tell you that a huge amount of the donor class and a huge amount of these elites and a huge amount of these folks in these rooms that I see that are pushing for President Biden to not be the nominee also are not interested in seeing the Vice President being the nominee.” - "That's bullshit. If you have an opinion, say it with your chest and say it in public. That's a bunch of horseshit." "The mechanisms by which this decision is being made is concerning me. When I'm talking to folks in rooms, I hear, 'My donor this, my donor that.' Those are the inputs that I am hearing reflected by my colleagues, it's not, 'My voters this, my voters that.'" - "And you know, like, oh man, like, you're a neolib, sellout careerist. I mean, if I were here to sell out, I'd be making — there are much more profitable, peaceful ways, I assure you."
