In multiple interviews (one here with Noam Dworman and another with Blaze Media propagandist "Auron MacIntyre"), Woke Right Nazi historicist Darryl Cooper explains that he was definitely led by Tucker Carlson in directions he wasn't always comfortable with. I don't think anything really exonerates Cooper, as he's a man with agency, but it's clear Tucker plays this game, and often. He played it unambiguously leading Matt Walsh into saying he's a "Christian Nationalist," for example, and there are places where it looks as though he did it with Charlie Kirk. He does it all the time with less famous characters, driving his own radical agenda through his guests. Again, even with Darryl Cooper.
