The group who pulled him out said they were getting hit in the face by the scorching flames as the car door was being blocked by the guard rail. At around 4 am, while returning from Mumbai to Aurangabad, we spotted a Scorpio engulfed in flames. The fire was intense. We immediately contacted the helpline and a fire brigade unit reached the spot within minutes. Fortunately, the driver was the sole occupant and managed to escape moments before the vehicle was completely engulfed. The vehicle was en route from Nashik to Kolkata when it caught fire just 8 kms before the Aurangabad exit.
