And for anyone who is too busy to actually read the Bible or anyone who is curious to know what is actually written: There was NO tithing in the garden of Eden. No mention of it at all. No reference to it anywhere in the entire record of the book. It takes a thief, charlatan and twister of scripture to plant tithing into the garden of Eden just to swindle naive people of their hard earned money.

His statement was an illustration of “give to YHWH what belongs to YHWH”. Another preacher will have different interpretations of what happened in that garden. That’s why It is better to read the book yourself.

The concept of TITHE is not only about MONEY. God takes & keeps 10% of EVERYTHING He gives to us. Our house, cars, clothes, food, money, life, etc. So, in the Garden of Eden, God gave Adam & Eve ALL the fruits in the garden, except the fruit of the tree in the midst of the garden

I believe he was trying to emphasise the importance of tithe as a Christian. Unfortunately, he used the wrong analogy.
