I did not write this and I’m not sure who did - but WOW does it speak to my heart!!! Worth the read. Don’t wait to read it later! Barely the day started and... it's already six in the evening. Barely arrivd on Monday and it's already Friday. ... and the month is already over. ... and the year is almost over. ... and already 40, 50 or 60 years of our lives have passed. ... and we realize that we lost our parents, friends. and we realize it's too late to go back... So... Let's try, despite everything, to enjoy the remaining time... Let's keep looking for activities that we like... Let's put some color in our grey... Let's smile at the little things in life that put balm in our hearts. And despite everything, we must contnue to enjoy with serenity this time we have left. Let's try to elminate the afters... I'm doing it after... I'll say after... I'll think about it after... We leave everything for later like ′′ after ′′ is ours. BREAKING: Trump’s would-be assassin has walked into the courtroom laughing while being “shackled by his hands and feet.” Routh has been charged with “possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.” The judge says Routh could face up to “20 years in prison and half a million dollars in fines.” Fox News reports that additional federal charges are possible, but the charges presented today “will keep him in jail.” During the hearing, Routh told the judge he “only makes about $3,000 a month” and has no assets other than “two trucks in Hawaii.” The sheriff stated that when Routh was arrested, “his demeanor was perplexing.” Officers had stopped his vehicle at gunpoint and ordered him out, and despite the seriousness of the situation, his “demeanor was perplexing in some way,” even though there were “numerous people out with rifles, uniformed personnel, a helicopter.” Court documents revealed that Routh was driving a car with stolen plates at the time of his arrest. Syracuse’s William Kyle III is one of the best Big Man Prospects in this year’s NBA Draft. For the season Kyle averaged 8/7/1 along with 2.5 BPG and 1 SPG, while also shooting 66% from the field. Kyle also led all High Major players in Stocks per game with 3.5. Standing at 6’9 with a 7’3 wingspan and a 44 inch vertical Kyle has the tools and frame you want from an elite defensive big in the NBA. Kyle’s mix of elite athleticism, rim protection, defensive versatility, offensive rebounding, finishing, and motor is all of the traits teams are looking for in their rim running bigs in Kyle is one of the best in the class in all of those areas. On the defensive end Kyle uses his length and athleticism to be a highly impactful rim protector who also doesn’t foul which is extremely rare. He’s also versatile enough to play in a lot of different defensive systems and he's also versatile enough to switch onto smaller players. Kyle is also a high level help defender and uses his agility to make quick decision plays on the defensive end. Today is the 5 year anniversary of the greatest comeback in Raptors history and, in my opinion, the game that embodied why Kyle Lowry is the GOAT of the franchise. In his time with the Raptors, there were two prevailing qualities about Kyle and his style of play: 1) Uplift the game of players around him 2) Never, even for a second, give up on a play Those two qualities, along with his great skill as a scorer and defender at his position turned him into a 6x All-Star, 1x All-NBA member (should have been more) and, of course, an NBA Champion. Kyle had many moments and games as a Raptor: his half court shot versus Miami, the game winner vs Cleveland, Game 6 versus Golden State and Boston but THIS game… is why he’s the GOAT. Down 30 points and without Pascal Siakam, Norm Powell or Marc Gasol who were all injured — Kyle led a cast of role players to the largest comeback in franchise history. Patrick McCaw, Chris Boucher, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, and Malcolm Miller, were all uplifted by the brilliance of Lowry. Usually, I would do a video essay Raptors Republic on this topic, but due to some unforeseen life stuff I couldn’t get it done in time. 911 call made by former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell after his therapy dog, DASY, was shot dead by two men. Luttrell aimed a gun at the men, but decided not to shoot. Instead, he chased them at speeds of up to 100 mph across three counties. A patrol officer finally pulled them over. Alfonso Hernandez was found guilty of cruelty to non-livestock animals. His accomplice Michael Edmonds, pleaded guilty to the same charge and admitted he was the one who fired the shot that killed DASY. During his time as a SEAL, Luttrell received the Navy Cross and Purple Heart for his actions in June 2005 against Taliban fighters during Operation Red Wings. During the ambush of Operation Red Wings the four SEALs were attacked from three sides and took fire from RPK machine guns, AK-47s, RPG-7s, and 82mm mortars. Three of the four team members were killed, and Luttrell, the only survivor, was left unconscious with a number of fractures, a broken back, and numerous shrapnel wounds.

Kyle says she has theories about who started the rumour but did not share any names. Kyle says that during their family trip to Aspen, Mauricio was “very booked up and looking around.” 👀 Sutton and Erika seem to think Kyle is comfortable with Mauricio’s behaviour, including being seen with other woman, but Kyle says that is not the case. She explains that it is one thing to see it in the tabloids and another to see it in person. Kyle says that on this particular Aspen trip, she did not feel seen or heard by Mauricio and she told him that directly. She says he apologized. Kyle adds that she left Aspen feeling like she would not rush into another family trip again. Richard Childress talked over the weekend about how Kyle Busch had gotten into hunting as they developed their friendship. I had forgotten all about this, but I actually asked Kyle what his best hunt was at Talladega in 2024 while he was talking about a trip he took with the Realtree people. "As crazy as it sounds, it was a bighorn sheep, longhorn sheep in Texas. So that was pretty cool. Actually, Samantha wouldn't let me have the mount so it's with a buddy of mine up in Maine who loves hunting and stuff like that. So he's got it." Glad I found this video because I think it's a nice insight into the older and more well-rounded Kyle that we got to enjoy.

Something I feel enormously fortunate to have covered directly was Kyle Busch's 100th career O'Reilly Series win at Nashville in 2021. There's also a story from the press conference I'd like to share. Nashville 2021 was the first "normal" race weekend after peak COVID, which meant the garage was open and media availabilities would take place in the media center instead of remotely over Zoom (including from the press box). It was my first race working as a reporter in the media center, and I was still getting my bearings as far as in-person press conferences and talking off the cuff as opposed to doing things over Zoom. Daniel McFadin asked Kyle about which of his 100 wins were his favorites, a question which I had also wanted to ask. Kyle started talking about them and also about some of the ones he missed out on - Namely his debut at Charlotte in '03, which gave him a chance to take a tongue-in-cheek dig at all the criticism he got for racing in the series as much as he did. "That would've been cool. Damn Kenseth. Those Cup guys, they shouldn't run Xfinity. I don't know why they do." Kyle then got asked about the origins of the bow and recalled it starting with a win at Charlotte, but he couldn't remember the year - at which point I interjected "4!", which got him rolling again but maybe was a bit bold of me to do as someone who was still very new. It was my turn to ask a question next so I asked him about some of the sponsorship partners from all of his wins in the series and if he had heard from any of them. Afterwards, Kyle walked by my workspace while I still had the Racing Reference page for Charlotte 2004 up, so I mentioned it to Kyle again and quickly summarized with something along the lines of this: "It says you beat McMurray, Harvick, and Stewart that day.
