Officer as Kayleigh Cooper tried stopping a 24-year-old man and woman who were suspected of shoplifting. When they refused to get out of the car and drove off, Cooper fired her gun at the fleeing car. Michael Campagna and Megan O’Brien were later arrested on shoplifting charges. Cranston, Rhode Island police say they will also be charged with felony assault and assault on a police officer. It’s unclear if this alleged ‘assault’ is what is shown in the video.

A video has surfaced a day after Shoaib’s alleged police encounter in Bijnor. Police had claimed Shoaib tried to snatch a sub-inspector’s pistol while being taken for medical examination, after which he was shot in the leg. However, the video shows several people beating a man on the terrace of a two-storey house before bringing him downstairs, where he is assaulted in front of police. The man said to be is Shoaib, who appears unable to walk and does not resist as police carry him away. The houses of an RSS karyawah and a VHP leader are located opposite his residence. They have alleged Shoaib vandalised their homes and looted jewellery and Rs 5 lakh cash.
