#BREAKING: THE INTERNET WINS AGAIN! In less than 24 hours since I posted video of a man stealing/destroying a speaker owned by Seattle street preacher Matthew Meneicke, dozens of tips started pouring in. I've now confirmed that the man in the video committing this egregious act is BRENDAN MURPHY, the Director of Fire and Inspections Sales at Guardian Security Systems(Seattle Sentinel Security) based in Seattle's SODO neighborhood. I was unable to reach Murphy for comment today, but Guardian's HR rep sat down with me and confirmed Murphy is indeed one of their employees and the man in the video. The company is now doing a full investigation into this incident. The HR rep told me Murphy was not on duty at the time this happened outside the Mariners(Seattle Mariners) game at T-Mobile Park(T-Mobile Park.) Otherwise, the company plans on sending me a statement once this investigation is over. Meanwhile, I also spoke to Meineicke who says he does not want Murphy to lose his job, but wants this to be a teachable moment. Meineicke says he forgives Murphy. Otherwise, I found tons of info about Murphy on line. He apparently does some acting on the side and is also featured prominently in one of Guardian's promo videos about the importance of surveillance cameras and safety. The irony is unbelievable. I also took some editing liberties to show the hypocrisy using Murphy's own words. And the story gets even better. While inside the bank, he entered the restroom, climbed into the ceiling, and hid there until the staff closed for the day. After the workers left, he came down from the ceiling and allegedly hacked the bank's computer systems. Since there was no safe way for him to leave the premises without being noticed, he climbed back into the ceiling and remained there overnight. The next morning, when staff resumed work, one of them tried to use the restroom but found the door locked from the inside. After waiting for some time without any response, they alerted the security personnels, who forced the door open. When they entered, they noticed something unusual and eventually discovered the man hiding in the ceiling. Meanwhile, when the bank staff turned on their computers, the systems were displaying unusual prompts asking users to click "OK." It became apparent that the computers had been compromised.
