On the night of 5th of August, 2024, Islamists attacked Palpara village under #Gabtoli Police Station of Pigachha Upazila of #Bogura district. In the village, Hindus are traditionally Potters by profession. They used to make pitchers, Mangal Ghat and other items. All are broken. Islamists vandalised and looted everything. Money, rice, jwellery and even clothes from Almirah. An old woman said, “They took everything. They vandalised the house. Now, I have nothing to eat. They came with swords. They looted rice bags from the house.” Another woman said, “They looted everything. Vandalised the pots and other things made by us. They looted fishes and milk and sweets from the fridge. In the city of Abdanan, protesters tore open bags of rice inside a shop owned by the IRGC and threw the rice into the air. Rice along with other basic food staples has become increasingly unaffordable for ordinary Iranians due to crushing inflation and the collapse of purchasing power. When people who struggle to put bread on the table refuse to take rice home, it is a political act. It is a rejection of humiliation, corruption, and a system that starves the people while enriching those in power.

I have just seen this VIDEO of Ayo Oritsejafor revealing that someone visited the family of the beheaded teacher in the Oyo kidnapping to gift them two bags of rice and N500k. Thankfully, the family rejected the gift. Because rice is involved, we already have an idea of who must have sent the messenger or whose interest he was serving. And this is very disturbing. That these people considered two bags of rice and N500k enough compensation for the brutal murder of a man, who was a husband, father, and bread-winner to many, is deeply concerning and saddening!✍️

The incident happened in Reno, Nevada in front of Congressman Mark Amodei’s office. The young man driving the truck had allegedly driven around the block multiple times, rolling coal as he drove by. According to people who were allegedly at the event, they eventually stopped him which is when the fight took place.
