@Cubbyxx Yeah I viewed it as a “they’re not the leading contender” but even putting T1 above/same tier as BLG is mad to me. That said thanks to the format they face off on quarters 😭 so we’ll find out quick

LCK teams are weaker this year vs. last yes, I still think it's consistently better competition than the LPL. I also think there's a big picture conversation to be had here that would've distracted from the initial thread, but I think the changes to how LCK and LPL offseasons work respectively in each league really hurt the LPL and roster building where some top players were encouraged to sit for splits instead of look at the market. For any criticism's of T1 this split, they haven't lost a series to a non-HLE team since April. I can see your sentiment about LPL teams being undervalued in the past and you'd have experienced that more than me. Personally, I had '18 RNG and '23 JDG as favorites headed into those tournaments. I was also on board for some of the LPL flops (believed in '21 FPX). Maybe this is where I'm bubbled a bit covering LPL, have seen a lot of BLG winning in terms of predictions before and for knockouts. I believe on the SI preview me and Kiere were the only ones who didn't have BLG top 2. I've seen a lot more of a push for BLG being a or the favorite.

The double standard is infuriating. People act like BLG’s one weird playoff series against WE is more representative of their level than them dominating literally every other team they played in that playoff run.

Ehh I’d still take Gen G over for example TES. TES has fallen so much that 369 had to be subbed out (at one point the top 3 top laner in the world and some could argue the best). Creme is good but the rest of the roster… AL’s fall off was also much harder.

HLE and Zeka "unrealiable" ? HLE secured their org's first MSI this year, and with consistent strong domestic performance. Zeka is the most consistent player, arguably would've won 1st all pro. Zeka Knight H2H is mostly when Zeka is in LPL and just 2024 worlds lol. Wtf we saying?

Maybe cause LCK 4 worlds in a row and 2 MSI in the the last 3 years? No year since 2018 LPL is considered favorites is lie cause coming into 2022 Worlds, they are heavily favored than most LCK teams, and rightfully so as they won 2021 worlds and 2022 MSI. That's just how it is.
