Drop Site contributor Taha Syed (Taha Syed) captured the scene as demonstrators gathered during a visit from Homeland Secretary Kristi Noem and Bovino. Syed also reported skirmishes between demonstrators and Cook County sheriffs as well as Illinois state police — officers who claimed they were protecting protesters, though locals said they were effectively providing security for ICE.
